gm stage III

I have a couple questions for people running the gm stage III pcm. Did you need to reflash it to run it in your car or just plug it in and go. Did it come with instructions and wiring connectors to tap into the plug for the nitrous? Any Idea if it makes more power than a 2.8 pulley and tune. Just trying to see if it is worth getting one of these.

Thanks,Chris.

Check the GM stage kits FAQs. Tonnes of info there. It comes with a computer that replaces your existing one, so it isn't a flash. It doesn't make as much power as stage 2 injectors with a tune and 2.8" pulley, simply because it's pulley is not as small, and the tune is the same fuel map as stage 2. However, it does come with a dual pass kit recommended because the blower makes too much heat with 3" and smaller pullies. In fact, GMPP suggests dual-pass for stage 2 as well. So whatever you choose, do some cooling mods or you are wasting your money. ;-)

You are better off with a 2.8 and a good tune. By far.

I just like the nos feature using the injectors to add fuel rather than it getting all blown around and fuel drop out in the initake.I have a port nos kit and can't seem to find a place to put the nozzles. So it would be way easier to just spry it into the intake or just before the throtte plate.

You would have to put the nozzles in the manifold, near the injectors. It is really simple to spray into the intake or TB. If you never plan on going higher than a 100 shot, you don't need direct port. All you end up with is hundreds of dollars in extra parts for the same gain, and a bunch more places to have a leak or problem.

That what I meant. I have the kit already and was trying to find a good location to put the nozzles and I don't see how it would work. There just isn't enough room on top and from underneath you can't turn them to install them so they would have to be glued in or welded into the intake. It would be alot eaiser with just spraying nos and not worrying about the fuel droping out.
How are you spraying? ^^

Fogger in the intake coupler, before the TB. Wet shot.
