GM Stage III Kit

im not sure what if any thing is know about this kit yet but i have found it my personal agenda to get everything we need to know.

A friend of mine is the service dept/warrenty person at a local GM dealership (largest volume dealer). (sidenote: Yesterday she did some checking up for me on the stage 2 which i found out i can get for about 600 total after purchase + install).

The other informative thing she did find the Stage III Kit and that as of now IT WILL BE covered under warranty, however she was not able to find out what the kit had. She said she will check it pretty much every day and keep me posted.

sorry if a repost.. i didnt see nothing on the front page

do keep us posted, I was also under the assumption that stg3 was cancelled but this is over 3 diff "GM" reps mentioning something about stage 3. Very curious of what they plan on doing.

Stage 3 is the twin-charging isn't it? If that's the case you will need many more parts than just the stage 3 kit. Including a clutch and tranny.

Possibly...i'm trying to find the pic but going off memory i'm thinking it was on the display stand for the SEMA SS/SC with the Hahn twin kit. Could definitely be wrong tho

I am betting if the source is right and it does exist that we will see it debut at SEMA this fall, be told it will be out at the end of the year and really have to wait till the end of 1st quarter next year before we can actually get our hands on it....

Alrite, figured it out...Stage 2+ was just the Time Attack Cobalt. It seems identical to the production Stage 2 Kit + n2o

I'm sure they will add an exhaust as well in the stage 3

but lets not start sucking each others dicks just yet ... dealers are notoriously wrong and think of how long stage 1 & 2 took

Okay guys we need to nip this in the bud right now. How long did we talk about stage 2. Long before sema Nov. last year and it took until 2 weeks ago almost to come out. Do we really want to speculate for months what might be "talked about at Sema? Count me out until an official release is out.

I would not count on GM stage 3 anytime soon. When/if it does come most likely there will be a heavy price tag! And if it include a 100 shot count me out.

it is too early to speculate. this needs to be in written words from a GM representative.

cuz right now a stage 3 kit could range from exhaust upgrades to magic fairy dust.
gm can only do so much... it's time to start relying on aftermarket tuning..... which is better and offers more options

Right on target! Magic fairy dust is pretty powerful stuff though!

They will probally make you have another reflash for intake, exhaust, header combo or something. They are probally developing an intake. Gm is about making money as any business so I'm sure this is in the plans somewhere. They now the upgade ability of these cars. It makes sense for them maybe the next stage kit will include I/H/E and another reflash? But hey who knows...

Wont need a tranny this one is plenty strong and was built for a heavier car with more HP.

Just cause you work at a dealer doesn't mean squat. In fact, most of the time it means you know less than us.

I'm not saying it isn't true, because I really have no facts to back it up either.

why the hell would any car company cover a vehicle equiped with nitrous under warentee? nitrous blows sh*t up no matter how well its tuned. I think it would be better to just screw the warnetee and get the intense stage 3, gm will probably try to BS there way out of the warentee anyway.
