hey i have a 2.8 with 60lbs and supporting mods with full vibrant header back and the car is too loud for me, i dont have much money to pay to get a res or 2.5 catback. so my question was from goin from a 3inch catback to the gmpp 2.25 wit my mods, how much power would i lose??

reason is someone wanted to trade me my vibrant catback for gmpp

 

you're not going to loose much power at all, and the added torque throughout the middle of the rpm band will more than make up for it.

just make sure to go with the gmpp touring version... imo that is the best sounding exhaust on these cars, period

 

Yes this is the exhaust I am going to buy. Sounds like a magnaflow. Rumbles more, no raspiness... the way a 4cyl SHOULD sound.
The GMPP Sport has more of a raspy sound to it

 

so i wont be loosing any power? mayb 1-2whp? and added mid torq?

 

the gmpp touring doesn't sound like the magnaflow, the magnaflow is way too effin loud. i just replaced the touring with the full magnaflow in december and already took the magnaflow off and sold it.

with your mods, you won't be losing any noticeable amount, don't even worry about it

no, gmpp sounds just a little bit more throaty than stock and flows alot better. magnaflow is just loud when you get on it

 

I have the gmpp touring and I have received so many compliments on it. Quiet like stock when driving around normally, idle has a deep drone and WOT sounds awesome! I am also goin to drop down to a 2.8, i have a 2.9 and 60's and I dont believe I have lost any power. I'm interested if anyone else has a some experience with making alot of power with this exhuast and when is it going to be restrictive? Looking to make around 300 whp myself.

 

it will be the biggest restrition but we will see my 2.5 is already restrictive thats why i gained 4whp with the cut out off the 3in dp

 

Is their anyway we can make the GMPP cat back exhaust 2.5? I want to coverted from 2.25 to 2.5. Any thoughts?

 

yeah the 2.5" gmpp touring comes from corsa (it's not really a gmpp, but sounds pretty freaking similar)and it is around $800 IF you can find one. No one that i know of has them in stock, i paid for one in january, the company took 3 weeks to get back to me and they said no one has them. OTTP looked and could not find anyone with it physically in stock either.

alot of people have them listed, ottp has them listed as well but when they called around no one physically had them in stock

even if they did have it, i'm not paying $900 for it, cost is irrelevant for most things for me, but that's just ridiculous

I've kept my gmpp even with the TVS because i love the sound.. (and Added a cut-out for those times it's important to have every last ounce of power)
