going into a reverse

so sometimes its a bitch to make my redline go into reverse.....has anyone have this probelm? its getting really old. is my clutch going out or something????

my ss does it every now and then. someone told me its just the gear isnt lining up properly. just put it in first and let off the clutch just enough to get the car to budge. it should drop right in after that. i think my ford focus used to do it also.

Yeah mine does it too. Particularly when I am parking. I usually just let off the brake with the clutch in and let it roll back just a couple inches and it will go right into gear.

put the tranny into second gear then go to reverse it makes it alott easier

mine does it 2.. sometimes like grinds a tad.. now i just go 2 3 then 4 then revese

Happens to all manuals. Just means it's not lined up properly. Shift into a few other gears and try again.
