good flow numbers for ported head?

im getting my head ported and polished and i was wondering what are good flow numbers for a full out race head. im new to head work and my machinist says that hes gonna take as much outta there as he can, like i said im just lookin for something to compare to that way i know that i recieved what i paid for, my head has a fully upgraded supertech valvetrain with .5 oversized valves with a 5 angle valve job. the dude im having do it is very very reputable so i trust that it will be great work, im just a little worried that im not gonna get the most out of it. thanks in advance, and sorry if this dosnt make sense! haha

Every bench reads differently and every operator will give different #'s on the same bench. Then there is port velocity. 2 heads with the same flow numbers can perform very differently if one has different runner volume.

Gnerally speaking, people that shop for a head based on flow numbers, end up buying from the biggest liar. Similar to buying a car audio amp rated for the highest HP. What's going to drive your subs better, a 1500 watt amp off ebay or a 300watt amp costing 3 times more from a reputable company?

yea, I was told to not be happy about my flow numbers from a few "gods" on this forum, turns out they were dead wrong about my head's flow numbers. Tho they weren't rediculously high, the head have me a monster gain, especially in tq.
