Does anybody know when the oiless "AEM BRUTE FORCE INTAKE" for the SS/SC is coming out? If in fact the oil is getting the MAF sensor dirty and throwing a DTC then the AEM filter is probably the only one that we should be using.

I helped a friend with a custom intake a few days ago, and the position of the MAF sensor from the K&N really effected his car. I'm curious if that could be the problem here, and that it's not the oiled filters.

CausesA code P0171 may mean that one or more of the following has happened:
The MAF (Mass Air Flow) Sensor is dirty or faulty. Note: The use of "oiled" air filters (K&N, etc.) can cause the MAF to become dirty if the filter is over-oiled
There could be a vacuum leak downstream of the MAF sensor
The AEM synthetic oiless filter sounds promissing, that's the one am waiting on to buy.
