got a 2.85 pulley

i was at the track with some friends and the tracked sucked ass i was spinnin thru all of first and all of second....so i was basically trying to get a good 60 foot.....but then my friend said if i wanted to try the 2.85 pulley that he had in his trunk i said sure why not...and OMG i love it...the whine is louder and it boosts to 15 so fast and i will peak at 18.5-19 psi im keeping it for sure

btw my best time at the track was a low 15 but to make sure my driving wasnt sucking and that it was the track i let the guy who owned the car b4 me take twice down the track and he has gotten a low 13 in the car...but he couldnt even beat my time...so...ill wait till next time to get a good time

I have never had a problem with traction in 2nd gear. Even at the track it would chirp 2nd but it always pulls like a raped ape for me. I had new tires when i went maybe that helped. I pulled a 2.2 60' everytime, best was a 2.1X but i missed 3rd. My best ET is a 13.86. I am gonna go in the spring when its nice and cool out to try and get a 13.6-13.7. I added a k&n typhoon.. not that it will help my ET at all.. but won't hurt.

well... sometimes it's not about all the power you make... it's how much power you can effectively get to the ground...

making more boost won't make you spin less...

you need traction mods...

you just have to peddle the car alot to get it to hook on street tires, i can't much but i got that 15 down to 14.3 at 108

I ran 14.3 @ 101 before I even put the 2.9 on... and that was on street tires at 25PSI without even launching.

yeah my car doesn't like traction on the street or track i don't hook until third gear no matter what. I need some new tires. It was funny becuase i was on and off the throttle 4~5 times throughout the runs and i was out trapping a 12.4~12.5 camaro

have you thought about running less boost? or having your boost limited in 1st and 2nd through HP tuners?

A few friends of mine are running 50% boost in first and it really makes a lot of difference getting those 60' times down... also makes sure you don't start spinning at the end of 1st.

yeah i did, made no difference honestly. Limiting it in second limits it in all gears though

trapping barely a 100 and getting 19psi on a 2.85? man it sounds to me like your converter is clogged the same thing happend to me at the track and i ran a 15.4 or sum **** like that. I am at sea level like you and i have a 2.7 and will spike at 17.5psi right before redline, so something is definately up with your car

yeah i also have the vibrant header and downpipe with cat delete and gmp performance exhaust with a K&N CAI, i had nates 2.85 on my car before i did 60's and a tune and i would hit at most 16.2-16.5 on the 2.85 and that was right before redline it was good for mid 15's consistantly. Thats unheard of boost on a 2.85 and with that trap speed the same thing happened to me. If you dont have warranty get a catless down pipe your boost will drop and the car will be quicker. Running at the track with a bad cat could cause damage to your valves get it checked out
