Got my car dynoed

I went to Carlisle this weekend and I got my car dynoed...It was 75 bucks for 2 pulls...I wanted him to do it in 3rd gear but he said 4th had the closer 1:1 so I didnt say anything anyways it put out 209.5 HP and 185.2 ft/lbs TQ also they put me in the J-Body class with the Cavaliers and the Sunfires which I didnt complain cause I was the only SS there and it was better than no competition at all, Overall I came in second place in the class so I was pretty happy considering the car is basically stock

If anyone can tell me how to post pics I will...I only have a camera phone so I dont know if that will work any help is greatly appreciated

Nice numbers, man. I wanna dyno mine too, but I'm gonna wait until the temps dip below 100F. I'm probably uunder 200whp right now (only getting 10 lbs of boost out of 12 lbs stock).

I use Arizona Dyno Chip. Kieth is a great guy and extremely knowledgable when it comes to tuning performance cars. Highly recommended.

I think the SRT-4 club is planning on a Dyno day late September or October. If you're interested, I'll see if anyone has a problem w/ a "Chebby guy" hangin' out and dynoing with us since it'll likey be awhile before there's enough SS's to make a club.

adc programmed my sct chip for my cougar , and it felt like a brand new car form bottom end to top end after that. they know their duratec motors well. i talked to one of the dudes there and he said they didn't plan on doing anything special for the cobalts cause they like to stick with what they do best.... i would love to live out there and have them tune my car though, after seeing how big of a change their chip made

1:1 sits just about exactly in the middle of 3rd and 4th gear. 4th is overdrive however, my car dyno'd about 10 HP more in 3rd gear than in 4th gear.

You can probably take the dyno sheet to like kinkos and have them scan it and put it on a CDROM for you.

When they dynoed the Cobalt SS in Street Tuner Showdown or whatever its called on Speed they only got 196 hp at the wheels. Im thinking that the car was not broken in or I hope that it wasnt broken in.

I saw that too. That kind of dyno I believe "simulates" road drag so I bet it's not 100% accurate, plus the car looked brand spankin new so I bet it's not broken in yet either. I'm kind of glad they didn't use one with the G85 package so I can compare it more to mine. I also find it interesting how everyone who has dynoed their cars are all different. As for my boost I'm only getting 10 as well. I have no idea how to get more. Is taking it to a dyno shop and having them tune it really do the trick?

Tom

Every car is different. Most of the Cobalt SSs dyno just above 200 whp. Very respectable numbers. The '80s TPI Camaro/Firebirds made above 200 whp and they have 4 more cylinders.
