Got some questions
Hello, im planning on doing some things to my 2005 cobalt ss supercharged and have some questions about it. First, i want to get my exhaust done and was wondering if it would throw a check engine code, and if it does how to fix it. Second, i want to put a cold air intake on and was wondering if that would throw any codes and how to fix that, and third is there any place to get my car chipped? Thanks in advance

My exhaust did not throw a check engine light...
My cold air intake did not either... But some people have said that it does... This can be cleared with hptuners, which answers your last question, and is the tuning (chip) solution... It programs the computer already in the car.. companys can send you pre-programmed computers that you switch out as well.

If you do a cat back, no codes that I am aware of. Going catless will require a tune tweak to keep from getting the CEL.
If you run an intake, it depends, some brands tend to throw a code. The codes are pretty easy to clear if you have a scanner or live close to someone who does. If your like me and go the cheap route with an ebay intake, cut the reducer off of the end of it before you put it on and it won't throw a code.
As far as "Chipping", the ECU is flash based. Find someone decent in your area with HPT.
Hope this helps.
