Oh i know, When we got back to the house he goes, "the only reason i let off was cause i thought my rib cage was going to collapse form you hanging on so tight" Then he said if he would have had full gear for me we would go out again (first time was a helmet and a leather jacket with jeans while he was in full riding gear)

The amount of accel a bike has is what makes it crazy...not actual top speed.

A 600 is only good for about 160

Yea it was pretty insane how fast we hit 147! The coolest part was feeling the front end of the bike float up as it feels like you getting sucked off the bike I swear i will own one someday! Im only 16 so i gotta while though

i think the cobalts are limited at 160mph due to their gearing. atleast the LSJs, i know the LNFs have a taller final drive. IMO as soon as you hit 130 and feel how differently everything handles and feels you'll call it quits.

I REALLY dont want to lose.

mods:300c srt-8 stock

ss/sc: cti 3" dp, vortex 3" hd, magnaflow 3" exhaust, injen intake, dual pass h/e, 60/40 meth injection, ls4 tb spacer, ottp stage 1 (2.7 inch pulley) 235 tires, all parts tuned as a whole(agressive tune). rfotated tranny mounts.

now i have 2 srt-8 40 roles lined up for summer, and i made my final decision about the parts. like i said before i dont want to lose!

5-Speed @ 7200rpm:

Gearbox:- 5-Speed Cobalt SS Supercharged @ 7200rpm
Tyre:- Pirelli Pzero Rosso Asymmetrico 215/45/18
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Top Gear gives 26.947 MPH/1000 RPM and a top speed of 194.015 MPH at 7200 RPM

Engine speeds in top gear:-
30 MPH = 1113 RPM 40 MPH = 1484 RPM 50 MPH = 1856 RPM 60 MPH = 2227 RPM
70 MPH = 2598 RPM 80 MPH = 2969 RPM 90 MPH = 3340 RPM 100 MPH = 3711 RPM

Top Speed in 1 gear = 40.181 MPH
And changes into 2 gear at 3749 RPM dropping 3451 RPM
Top Speed in 2 gear = 77.165 MPH
And changes into 3 gear at 4827 RPM dropping 2373 RPM
Top Speed in 3 gear = 115.094 MPH
And changes into 4 gear at 5431 RPM dropping 1769 RPM
Top Speed in 4 gear = 152.596 MPH
And changes into 5 gear at 5663 RPM dropping 1537 RPM
Top Speed in 5 gear = 194.015 MPH
From the Driveline forums.......If the calcualtions are correct, SS/SC is "Gear" limited to 194mph. I have never tried in the cobalt, but in past cars, wringing it out that high takes a while in the top gear.

I'm pretty sure the three passangers were in the srt-8, not the mr2.

I was thinking in my head, did the mr2 have two in each seat? Or did the driver have just himself while there were 3 people stacked on top of each other in the passenger seat. The passengers must have been from the TV show "Little People"

they need to put the viper engine in something, seeing as they are killing the viper in '10

from the factory SRTs run mid 12s, they beat stage 2 cobalts with minimal problem.

Who the hell would spend nearly 50k on a truck when they could get a vette more than a whole second faster.

Doesn't make sense at all. Maybe I'm just a hater, lol.

Who the hell would buy a vette when you could get a fox body and make it run 10's for a fifth the price of a vette?

it's preference man.

Hey chop the top! lol

Yeah I'm just saying, if you're gonna drop money on a new car might as well be something sweet like a vette not a truck. Just my opinion.

maybe someone who needs a truck..?
My dad has a Lincoln Mark LT for work cause he's a contractor, and a lot of his job sites dont have roads built yet, just dirt trails. So, he spent $45k on a nice truck, cause he wanted something nice that could still get him to work. Same concept, only the SRT10 would be for performance, not luxury like the Mark LT
