What about a water temp gauge. I don't know what would be a good brand, but that always seems like a good idea to me.

the gauges u need depend on what u do to ur car..if u tune it (which im guessing u dont since u dont know what gauges to get) u would want a afr and egt gauge...if u just want to monitor things get a aeroforce interceptor and a wideband..

it is actually exhaust gas temperature
it shows you what your exhaust is doing, are you too lean, too rich overheating ect.

If you have an actuall header you can put it in the Cylinder #4 running to monitor it, unfortunatly I don't I have a collective temp,

I am glad I took Area47's advice and got it, it is actually very important!

if you know what you're looking at. you can see what you're timing is doing, if you're knocking. how much of a window you have to work with in terms of "tuning"

the thing about tuning is u can have a good afr and ur temps be jacked..which is deff unsafe..afr gauge is cool..but having both will cover ur ass

You may have to explain that to me in more detail.... I need a few more lessons Yoda on the HPT side of things!

I should have my wideband here in the next week or so!

Screw the EGT gauge....
Interceptor w/ thermal linearizer FTMFW!!! (oh... and the ability to log EGT's without dicking around too much)
