Hi guys,

I work for a couple dealerships in Calgary and I found this cobalt for a really decent deal

Definitely wanted to get a 2nd cheap car that is a little fun. So I bought it!

I have been researching and reading thread after thread, but I cannot for the life of me figure out a few mods that are done to the car. Please help me out and let me know what they are!

1st of.. the car has "STOCK" injectors (Grey and Green) and a Stage 2 pulley, runs leads and engine light blinks... 60's and 2.8" pulley will be here Tuesday next week. Problem solved with a tune from someone locally.

2nd... Why does it have a Jet Performance MAF Sensor?? o.O

3rd... What is this...




This little wire/jumper thing was taped in there. Took the tape off and removed it to show you guys. I put it back together tho.


4th... What is this?

there is a guy on cobaltss gang on facebook, that's parting out a lsj, go see if he has what you need.

 

Maf sensors are cheap. Go to autozone.

I went to AutoValue and they told me it was 100 without a core or something... and 300 if I need the entire thing. Didn't know what the **** he was talking about so I left. I'll try else where tomorrow.

They have new and use or refurb don't remember. At least mine does. I paid $30 or so with core. Ended up not being my issue so it was returned

You'll laugh! Its a 2012 Focus. Originally purchased for my wife, but I had to drive it till we were able to get a vehicle for me.

before hptuners was released for the ss you had to use a maft t or a safc to tune the car that plug in could belong to one or the other trace all wires back to see where they go

post stuff like this in general or problems and service not in the performance section

 

Make sure ic pump is working. If not beat on it with something or just buy a new one

 

The ****? Stock injectors with a smaller pulley? Used performance cars are like a box of chocolates, you never know what youre going to get
