Why would you do such an awesome build with bling-blingers?

Ditch the chrome for something lighter.

Any ideas? Im not sure but I believe the Konig Unknowns are a whole lot lighter than the TSW Nograno's that I have now. I believe they are just painted if I remember correctly. Let me know your thoughts though Im still open for opinions.

I though the Hahn kit came with something for the alternator....I just emailed him the other day and he said ppl that use the kit get something for it...

Idk, Im still a lil lost on that whole alternator conversion thing anyway...

He sends you a list of parts you need from GM which cost around $200. Im not going to post anything about that because I respect Bill too much to let out that info. I dont think talking about the alternator should matter though..I hope anyhow. All we had to do was weld in between the outter pulley and inner bearing so the alternator doesnt free spin. Just welds 180 degrees apart from one another to hold it together is all. I hope its ok to say this much. I dont see a reason why not...

Can you explain what you are trying to say here? Wheel size has nothing to do with speed.

Yes it does, depending on what tire size you run.

Yes the outter diameter of the tire will affect the speed, but rim size does not matter if you have the correct tires...

you could actually have a smaller diameter tire on 19s if you wanted that low of a profile

True.. I guess i kinda left that factor out.. but Also, things do get a little heavier... And with Having a big ass system, i would start worrying about the small stuff..

Can you PM me and tell me a little bit more of how you did the pulley? Im not doing the welding myself (although i probably could if i tried) but its being done "professionally"... but do i just take the cap off and weld there, or what? Can u send me a pic please?

Turbo build almost complete!!! Just waiting on catback coming tommorow!!

Ok, here is some pics of the build. It went fairly good. We took our time since new rims arent going to be here for another week or two anyhow and there is still SNOW on the ground. The Hahn catback got held up in customs so it will be here now tommorow and then we can fire the car up.

Well, I got a little antsi and fired it up without the cat tonight. Good thing I did because something aint quite right. When I fire her up the idle is jumping up and down like crazy from almost stalling to 3-4k. Sounds terrible so I sent Aaron at Hahn a message about this so hopefully he can help me correct whatever is going wrong asap. Anyhow, I am very please with how everything went. We made sure that we didnt miss a step and really took our time with no short cuts. I am also looking forward to seeing the numbers but I gotta get this baby running good and on the ground(no rims as of yet.lol)

Thanks Mathieu, I love the work you did on the caps and especially on the plate for the fuel rail cover. Everybody here says it looks sick. You do mighty fine work my friend!

Angel, if ur vac at idle is above -15 and hovers around 0, u have the sensors on ur intake mani and the one on the right of engine swapped. The power plugs fit into either of them. I had same problem and that fixed it immediately...

It's not the sensor itself but the plugs that go into them.

I was looking at the Hahn site, and on the downpipes they sell with their kits, there is no cat... Is it not possible/recommended to put a cat in with a turbo swap? I am considering a couple of different options for ditching the m62 in the future, but I would definitely need to keep my cat for emissions requirements here in texas...
