Two thoughts:

1) JBP sounds good at idle only because it isn't equal length

2) It is an understatement to say that it is a pain to install

Ok I never said it's hard to install. How does the Hahn sound. I just don't want it to sound shitty. But performance I know the Hahn outbperforms. Sound I like the jbp but don't have anything to compare it to since I haven't heard the Hahn

long tube greater than shorty. you dont want a shorty on your car. go with someone else other than jbp for a midlength but if you must, go with jbp. just dont get a shorty. the jbp will out perform it. unless your car is n/a dont get the hahn

The options are Hahn or jbp. I'm getting it free for labor trade. Colejones. Why not the shorty? The guy who's ordering it says between the 2 from the same dyno and car made 4 more up thsn jbp

single biggest flow problem is from the header obviously. i see your running a 2.8 and 60s right? you want a midlength. you will flow more air and your power curve is broader than a shorty. i dont talk outta my ass. ask anyone here if i throw out bs. show me these BS dyno graphs too. the same tune im running on my car, i put it on my boys car, we have the same exact mods except he has a shorty header... do you want to see the vid of that race?

yeah i would not get a shorty header... you will pick up bigger numbers( dyno queen ... if u wana be 1 get this) but for the curve it will be much better with a midlength combo... tell the dealer that u can get a midlength for the price jbp header cost... or CIA and tell them ule pay the diffrence.. Shorty is good for peak or higher end torque and midlenght is good throughout the powerband( just from what i i understand)

cole, that JBP flows like crap. a shitload of bends, and smaller primaries than most of the headers out there. Also, as im sure you know, its a absolute pain to install (uninstall of steve's took 4 hours...installing the stock one was 40 minutes). Besides, shorty's arent that bad...its just top end power vs midrange power.

To the OP, go with ZZP midelngth or Vibrant. theyre the most popular choices (and best flowing) when it comes to midlength/longtube headers, and i can attest to the ZZP sounding beautiful. Never heard a deeper exhaust note.

i got the jbp header and i like it
it was a pain in the ass to install but worth it, the only problem i got was that i burns the firewall, so as soon as you cut it a little bit it will be ok

im gonna get the hahn at some point. i want a shorty header for the shift in the powerband. i take my car to the drag strip so i dont spend anytime in the lower RPMs. guess it depends on your application and how it suits you the best

same as above ^^^... I am not a dyno queen thanks, I prob will never go to a dyno... Im just looking for the best out of the two, if anyone has a clip of the hahn send it this way.

AGAIN TO ALL WHO CANT READ... I want a CIA but im not spending a stack to get a header for a 4 banger
the choices are HAHN and JBP

Well... if you look up some other threads, people **** themselves over the sound of their hahn setup..

the jbp is just so whacked out it has a very nice tone down low.. but sounds JUST like any other header once u get into the higher rpms.
