Hahn's New 3.0 Exhuast!!!

Here it is fella's!!! Hahn Racecraft's 3" polished Stainless Steel Cat-Back Exhuast. I went up there Thursday and the great guys put it on! This is Hahn's first ever 3" prototype for the Cobalt. It will fit on all the models from the base to the SS/SC. I can't even begin to describe how great this system sounds. It's really low and deep, and when you punch it, it roars!!! It's way louder then any other exhuast and it doesn't loose power. At high RPM's it still maintans a deep throaty sound. The sound is as amazing as it's high lustered finish. It fits without any problems and is complimented but a huge 4" tip that fills that gap nicely. This is the best sounded exhuast I've ever heard on a cobalt! I'll get a sound clip once I get my camera working. Hahn Dyno the system to add 5-10 hp on a stock car, and you can really feel the low end come alive. For you with STG 2 or above, you need this system! Check it out guys and girls, enjoy!

Looks nice, what are the actual dyno gains instead of rainging 5hp...

I'm getting the 2.75" Dezod exhaust on Tuesday and going to get dyno numbers on that. I have a RL, but should be the same for the CSS.

Figures, I just ordered CTI header and Corsa sport last night, Hahn's 3" exhaust would of gone better with the 3" header.

I doubt they've shipped it since it was a Friday see if it's not too late to cancel.

What do you want to know?

No prices yet, they are going to decide next week they told me. Also they are coming out with a TIG welded Header, and a DP with a high flow cat. They might hook me up with this stuff too but I'm not sure when it will be. Bill told me to call them next week to inquire about the header and DP.

$697 shipped from TurboTech, I've ordered on a Sat. before from them and got an email with a tracking number on Sunday, what can I say, they kick ass. I considered the full 3" from CTI, but the few clips I could find just sounded way to farty. I wanted to hear clips from Dezod, but my impatience won out (like it usually does). I don't plan on going all out on mods anyways, so the header and 2.5" cat back will probably be plenty for my stage 2, CAI and some HP tuning after the exhaust is on.

To me Corsa just sounds the best. I want performance first, but I can't stand a ricey sounding exhaust, and the clips I heard with Magnaflow's sounded like Honda's to me (just my opinion). I love the fact that my SS/SC would easily kill my old '91 Formula (305 TPI) with half the cylinders and twice the fuel economy, but good Lord do I miss the sound of that exhaust (bought it used and it already had true aftermarket duals on it).

I just figure now that I've made the purchase, Hahn's will come out sounding like a Ferrari, patience ain't one of my virtues.

This is great news! Can't wait to hear it! I'm glad I waited. I was gonna get a custom set up, but this looks good. Keep us posted about the developments on the header, DP and high flow cat. Also, let them know there are many people interested!

Thats beautiful! The usual Thermal quality.

I told you my 2.5" sounds incredible, I'm sure this is the same just louder.

I wonder why they went from an oval style muffler on mine, to a canister style with the 3"?

Either way, good stuff. Def. keep us posted!

OK BS flag came up big time here. 10HP with a catback exhaust. you said 5 to 10 HP on a stock car. I can only assume you mean 10HP on a SS/SC and 5 HP on a base 2.2 ecotec. the most restriction is well known to be the cat downpipe and header. muffler is there a little but not 10hp. you have to change out the whole exhaust to approach or exceed that kind of gain. Also to say the low end came alive is laughable. this is not a two stroke motor. by freeing up the exhaust it will be mostly noticed at higher RPM's as there is more flow required and is restricted mostly at that point by the stock exhaust.

another flag - I SMELL burnt RICE. yep I think what you describe as a good sounding exhaust could be achieved by bolting on a rusted out muffler. totally not performance driven in my mind to be THE LOUDEST EXHAUST EVER. and the high luster shine. not to knock Hahn for which I have respect for but come on this is for street not show. we are not the honda civic crowd here and totally want to try and separate from that crowd. give me #'s and an exhaust note that is guiet and then gets loud when I get on it. Why? I like to hear my stereo and dont want to have to come home and pack the car by doing a high speeed coast for a 1/2 block just so I dont annoy the neighbors. Probably going to stick with Magnaflow cause they have what I want.

it's also a straight through, so it flows much better than a chambered magnaflow or whatever... even with that small change in diameter

I plan on doing major mods to my car but im only going with a 2.5 exhaust, thats why i bought my corsa, no other company i know of has beaten their gains. I dont know what header and DP i want though. im between the weapon r or the JBP header and a ZZp DP. Im removing the cat aswell. I'll brobly get a 3 inch header and DP with a 3"-2.5" reducer, i dont think it will affect performance though.

I never said I was buying a bolt on kit. I will buy a header and custom mandrel bend pipes front to back. not catback. and THe muffler of choice is magnaflow. I have had it before and it is liveable for cruising and performance sounding when you open it up.

OH it will be stainless steel, not buffed to a shine, will get more horsepower than any catback. and will cost less than a catback.
