i saw the part on CED but have no idea where it goes

 

i'm pretty sure the small black box that is inline after the bypass valve, i think thats it.

but don't quote me on that, i bought it along with a fuel filter, and a cabin filter. for 77 cents i figured i would try and find it.

 

I stole this pic from the boost bypass how to, I circled the filter you are asking about.


It's located under the line that runs to the bypass actuator. You can see it's the foam looking thing.

I'm surprised no one else has done it. i mean it is a filter and a rather small/cheap one.

 

I just replaced mine.

seriously though, there is no point to chainging that.

 

^ What he said.... The amount of air travelling though that is so minimal. It's only real function is to keep water and large pieces of dirt from falling/dripping in to the solenoid valve.

 

It is probably one of those things that is replace when needed or at 100,000 miles.
