So do you run both the coolant tanks?? How much for the 2qt tank? Do you have a diagram how to run the lines for the hatrickstu mod...?

he does not replace it. hes doing in a way the option b system but better! he just replaces like he said before the little pos neck at the front of the blower and put a nice extra tank!

so you essentially get more power from this?? from it being cooler with this system, avoiding heat soak ??

For those with questions on benefits etc, search for "Option B"

it's not that you make more power. Not every mod you do will yield more power (i.e. adding a bigger h/e). There is a difference, however, in making more horsepower, and making more "safer" horsepower. Stu's mod, like option B or getting bigger heat exchangers, allows you to make SAFER horsepower. In other words, it allows your supercharger to be cooled more efficiently so that you can make more extreme mods to your car without causing any damage.

you are confusing the "stock tank" with the engine coolant tank. the only reservoir for the IC system is the little thing in front of the blower. you are replacing this, running 12 foot of line, and adding an inline drain.

actually i am eliminating the stock "tank" if you really want to call it that. look people:

hope that clears it up. no more little filler neck.

yes and no. you are not making more power, correct there. however, if you reduce the IAT's enough you could theoretically be allowed to run more timing, or a smaller pulley with possibly similar IAT's that were on the bigger pulley before. reducing heat soak is a MUST in these cars.

yes, but i think the original comment i replied to implied the kit itself would make horsepower, and you've already stated that it doesn't. All the kit does is lower IAT's. The other stuff (run more timing, smaller pulley) is the power adder. All this kit, like a bigger h/e, does is allow you to run more efficiently and make sure you don't kill your car or s/c by making more hp.

In other words, i concur, but i'm too bull-headed to admit it

just run the input line to the tank from the top of the stock endplate. out line from tank goes to input on H/E. two holes over on the passenger side that you will have to drill after you mock up the tank to see exactly where they need to go.

Hey stu when you mounted the tank how does that piece of metal for mounting attach to the tank? I have your kit and I don't see how it works do I bend the metal bracket?

so u have like a straight flow tank..... its not just a catch/expansion tank, its pretty much a tank with an inlet and outlet and is an actual part of the system instead of a "reserviour"...... i think thats how u spell it
