put it on ur self, take it to the dealer, they tune it. ur done and happy with the outcome =) GL

ull save alot of money by doing it ur self. they have to tune it. and they should know how once u give them ur code which will come with the stage kit.

You have to buy the GM Stage 2 kit. If it is a gm kit it will come with the code the dealer needs to tune it. If your dealer knows nothing about it I suggest taking it to a different dealer.

Like Orange said it's a kit, injectors, belt, pulley, and code for the ECU reflash. With out the code I don't think the dealer will flash the ECU.

Of course your other option is to have someone flash it for you. You may be able to find some one with HPTuners to flash it for you. If you close to the Eastern Iowa border I may be able flash the stage 2 on there.

What about the belt? The belt you have now will be just a little too big and may not work.

If your not worried about any warranties I think there are a couple of tuners in Wisconson that have the ability to flash the the Stage 2 program to your car. Grabbed this info from Availiable Tuners.

Wisconsin, Delafield - Cobalt_SSTuner
Wisconsin, Milwaukee - Z Speed

----------------edit----------------------

reflash is just a fancy term for installing a new program to the cars computer.

I had my stage 2 installed at the dealer and they had no problems with anything so your step-dad shouldn't have any problems using the code to get the program needed to flash to the cars ECU.

Cant you just order a tune/reflash from zzp or do you still have to get it reflashed from the dealer?
