Probably your crappy tune. Have you changed the fuel filter since you've had the car Sean? Sorry I didn't get back to you on this sooner, I just started my motor build so things have been a little crazy.

Im probably gonna change out the fuel filter, spark plugs, and air filter thursday or friday. Hopefully that'll get rid of it. You have a part number for the fuel filter???

Uh no I don't off the top of my head. Look it up on crateenginedepot.com

If the fuel filter doesn't solve it then I will bring down the laptop and see if the scanner picks anything up .

My car was doing the same thing for a while I had the dealership remove the carbon from the throttle body and do a general cleaning and it stopped I hope you are running premium.

Car shuts off and immediately turns back on when you turn the key?

Sean did you ever get this figured out? If you want me to swing out there and scan the car I will, but if your not throwing any codes its gonna be a little bit difficult to figure out exactly what it is, especially if it only happens every now and then.

Throws any codes? Catless?

This used to happen to me and a few others. Could be the crank sensor going bad.

dealer can't fix it

I purchased an 08 ss last summer. Shortly after purchasing it started to chug in 2nd gear at 2000 rpm. At this point it wasn't every day, now it is. I've taken it in several times and because it doesn't throw any dealer codes or the check engine lite isnt on, they say there's nothing more we can do. Yet every single morning, even the mornings I left it at the dealer, it chugs in 2nd gear no matter what. Does any one have any light on this subject?

I really dont like other people working on my car, dealer techs or not. I do all my own work, plus im pretty far into the modding process that my warrenty is gone anyway. Im gonna do the plugs and clean everything out tomorrow. No work so i finally have some time.

Keep me updated on this after your done doing your plugs and cleaning. I really am a little bit stumped on this one. Actually another thing to do...this is gonna sound stupid but just do it anyways, I have my reasons lol. Pop open your hood, take off the fuse box cover and press fairly hard down on all of the fuses. One time I had a fuse that was lose and when I hit a really hard bump the car would shut off. Just try it because I don't know of a lot of other things that would cause it to happen.
