which header/dp with my exhaust

well im looking to make more power again right now i have a 07 ss/sc with stage 2, airbox mod and a gmpp performance catback and saved up some cash for a header/dp. My question is which header/dp would everyone recommend and especially which for my exhaust which is 2.25 inch piping unfortunately(wanted corsa but got a great deal on the gmpp). Thanks in advance.

Most will say ZZP Midlength Header/DP Combo because of the "bang-for-the-buck" factor. I'm personally kinda leaning toward the CA V2 Header and XTC Downpipe myself. From the few videos there are that one seems to be a little less raspy than the ZZP but there aren't many videos to watch/compare and of the vids, some are bad quality. They are however a little more expensive.

EDIT: If you care about warranty go GMPP Header, but don't expect the same gains as another header.

I would think so. But not totally sure. Most of the time it depends on the dealership and how lenient they are.

I like the zzp and vibrant header myself. Good design and material and they sound very nice IMO

Well it shouldn't void your warranty if installed and operating properly, but they are more likely to warranty a gmpp part over an aftermarket part especially if its acting up, plus seeings as the header is a bit harder to install than say, intake or cat-back, there is more room for error on installation (if you plan on doing it yourself).

GM as a company and parts manufacturer knows their Extrude Honed Manifold is proven, works without error, gives increased airflow (however little it may be) and performance in conjunction with little to no negative effect on reliability. They do not know the quality/specifications of other products and cannot vouch for their craftsmanship and/or the effects that may result like they can with their own manufactured parts so there is CHANCE for less tolerance.

Just look at it like that I guess, from a business's standpoint to at least see why they may or may not cover something under warranty. You don't have to agree with it, but at least understand and respect the concept ya know?

EDIT: Straight from the GM Warranty found at:

if your asking what size you wanna go with here are my suggestions

3" if you wanna make a lot of power like over 350hp or more

2.5 or so for 350 hp and under depends on what kind of hp you are aiming at.

Vibrant header and dp is a nice low deep sound i have it with my magnaflow and love it...

okay thats what i want a deep sound not a raspy sound you know...something that sounds good and makes gains... i think ill go with the vibrant then... and i plan on making 300 if that all i am doing is intake, header, downpipe, catback, stage 2, custom tune and motor mounts....thats about all, maybe drop to a 3.0 pulley from the stage 2 one if its even worth it

will the vibrant header and dp with the 2.5 outlet fit nice with my exhaust??

Since you're planning on getting a tune, I'd probably recommend you get a 2.9 or a 2.85 instead of that 3.0 you're talking about (55-60$ shipped from Nate w/ new bolts ). Most of the time people recommend 60's if you go lower than that but those should both be safe for your injectors when you're tuned for them. I'd probably stick with a 2.5" exhaust on those mods too, you would probably push around 240-255whp with those mods I'd guesstimate.

Btw, I'd personally recommend the BWoody Solid Mounts. I can only attest to the Front Tranny Mount, but it's nice:

With a GMPP exhaust any 2.5 downpipe should bolt up without issue . The stock DP has a 2.5 exit so you should be good to go.

Just a question about this. So a 2.5" DP will connect to a GMPP exhaust? I thought GMPP is 2.25"? How does that work?
