Header Wrap: Good Idea or Bad?

I just ordered the ZZP mid length header and catted downpipe, and I'm considering wrapping the header, as it will keep under the hood temps down dramatically, and increasing the airflow through the header.

On the downside I’ve heard that wrap will hold moister in causing your header to rust dramatically fast.

So, is this a good idea or bad? Also any safe alternatives would be greatly appreciated!

I'm unsure if it's coated from ZZP, dosen't say... so I assume it's not. What would I use to coat it?

Its not that it holds moisture, the wrap turns hard after its heated up. When water hits it it will eventually start breaking off, looks horrible. Get it ceramic coated if your worried about the temps
