Heat!!!

I had a stage 2 kit installed last wednesday on my 07 cobalt ss sc and I noticed a jump in my coolant temp today...Obviously its from more boost since more air is compressed...but....I was always right around 180F and today it was between 195F and 198F, outside temp was only 65 or so

Is this normal? I have a 2.9inch Nates pulley comin this week, am I gonna need any cooling mods? If so, what is a reasonable and worthwhile cooling mod?

Don't freak I had the same thing happen to me.
I'm assuming you run with out a/c on?
The normal temp for the car to turn the fans on is 217 I belive but if you turn the a/c on the fan will kick on automatically. Your fine if you go over 220 theres problems but 190ish is fine.

Get hp tuned and turn your fans on earlier.

If your racing just don't make consecutive runs if you do look into a meth kit or a dual pass plate or cobra heat exchanger or if you want overkill all three!

here is a little trick...

aftter 190*... turn your AC on.. leave it on for about 15 seconds....

then turn it off....

the fans will still stay on, and cool your car till 180*.. then they will turn off.

works wonders
