Heat Exchanger Help

I want to get a heat exchanger. I know about the CA heat exchanger, and a Cobra Heat exchanger. But other then that what else can i get.

I want something with more coolling capacity then the stock Cobra or the CA.

i dont want to do any mods on the front end. Just basicly bolt on.

Has anyone used any heat exchangers other then CA, and Cobra?

I have a Fluidyne. It is an upgrade for the Cobra Mustangs. It is a 3 row.

Is this a exact replacement for the Cobra heat exchanger but its a three row.

Is the cobra heat exchanger a 2 row?

It is 2 inches shorter than the Cobra. In the Fluidyne literature that comes with it they say that due to their improved design they were able to make it shorter. It is thicker though and it is a tight fit.

I am not 100% sure if the stock Cobra is a single or dual pass.

It Is Like them but Not theirs, I got it in a Group Buy! Only 13 were made, but it shows you it will fit No problem! I had to make the mounting brackets which is No Big deal either, You simply go to home depot & Buy some stock Flat Aluminum!

What mods make you want more cooling power?

From my experience the coolant doesn't really heat soak to easily unless you have dual pass or something. Ussualy an extra H/e is a compliment to a dual pass intercooler it barely does anything alone.

I got it last year, No it does not Hang down at all! The bleeder was replaced with a Plug & It sits on the Bottom Passenger side & Man does it make it easy to drain & fill the System! I also made the Brackets from stock Aluminum & Mounted it on Rubber Bushings for Vibration & Shock Adsorbtion!
I'm Running the GM Dual Pass (Option B) with a Custom made Expansion Tank! Alot of what my car has is custom made, Most good Radiator shops can Fab you up what ever you want!

BWOODY made this for me, Of course I had to draw it up 1st!

The H/E you have looks just like the C/A one, are you sure its different? Even has the same bleeder fitting in the exact same place.

I have the C/A one, its awesome and looks great on the car. To the OP, why are you needing to go bigger?

BTW: Yay me, 1500 posts!!! :

29" 3/4 lenght

6" height

2" 1/2 width

It also has a bleeder valve so i went ahead and ordered it.

i just got off the phone with Mike from LFP, i told them about the cobalt SS/SC community about their need for a good H/E and how everyone has been buying up stock cobra h/e. I told him about the 1/4 bung that needs to be welded on top of the H/E incase someone is running the dual pass option B with the extra coolant bottle. So he said that mark and he will talk about it and let me know. I told them that I would be willing to make the brackets and send the a set so they can make them and sell them with their kit. They also said when the kit is finished it will be completely bolt on assembly with everything included.
