heat shield question

I was wondering if anyone running the clear image header left the heat shield off of the header or put it back on? because i went to put it back on and it was rubbing up against the new header so i didnt want it to mark it up or have a rattle... has anyone left it off? or should i bend it up and play with it a bit to make it fit and not touch?

i just got my CIA header and dp installed yesterday and my tech left the heatshield off. There wont be any problems with it off. BTW CIA header and dp is the best $ ive spent on my car.
