heat soak?

i went to the track last night adn ran horrible times i'm thinking it was due to heat soak. At an idle my iat2s were around 150 while racing it was about 160. Is this bad enought to cause me to run horrible times. i'm guessing i should be mid 13s not high 14s. i have a ottp stage 2, cti header with 3" catless d/p, magnaflow catback, and injen cai. My 60 footer was a 2.3 on street tires. ANY IDEAS WHY MY TIME WAS ****,

HEAT SOAK!!!! ya your temps are high, u want to be around 120ish. check your intecooler pump and see if its boiling threw the filler neck. if its just still your ip pump is done, theres ways to check to see if its dead or just not making contact. grab a hammer and tap the IP and hurry and get back up and see iff its start to boil. if it doesnt theres a good chance its done. make sure u tap it in the middle and on the side near the passenger side. i was seeing temp at 150 until i bought my S3 heat exchanger. now i see temps about 120 at wot and 89 on the highway.

i was seeing 150 with a intake, custom duall pass. then the HE droped it down to 120. but i also took apart my IP to get all that dust out of there. u wont belive how much is in there its crazy!

im sure if u went with HPT or trifecta u could get lower! they say those tunes are just to have you car running good. u might be running rich wich means u might be able to add more timing to get it more powerfull. but with those temps right now i wouldnt consider it, im betting your showing some type on knock retard with those temps! i would say get in the IP and remove all that dirt(theres a write up on how to get to it and open it on here somewhere) out. see if that helps. if not buy a new pump and get more cooling mods. the more cooling the better. or actually use your meth! i have no clue about that stuff so some one else should chime in for that.

that time isn't bad either. but at sea level i would expect more

I have hit a 2.0 on street tires. Granted they are 235 series Nitto 555's that were deflated to 20 psi. You just have to feather and practice.

thats a drag radial with a regular street tire 2.0 is not going to happen. op get your iat2s down and with the ottp tune you should hit low 13s

2.0 is doable on street tires, im running michelin ps2's and hit 2.0-2.1 60's all day, it just takes alot of practice

I think it would be better if those that can almost consistantly pull 2.1-2.0 60 ft times actually show/coach those that are having problems nailing that launch down.
