You need to loosen the bolts with the belt tension still on. If you ae doing that then damn those bolts are way too tight.

Yes the belt is still on and the pulley is spining, should I put it in gear?

Do you have the instructions that cam with the Stage 2 kit? It shows exactly where you need to put the 15mm wrench on the tensionser. It's the squared hump that's on top of the tensioner. Put the wrench on, and push down and toward the front seats, and the tension will be released allowing the belt to be removed.

If the tension on the pulley is not enough to keep it in place, you may have to take the belt off and use strap wrench to get the job done. You could also have a friend hold the belt even tighter around the pulley while you try to remove the bolts. Good luck.

Leave the tension on the pulley and use a prybar to put pressure between the tensioner and the pulley. That should hold the pulley in place.

Here's some pics that might help you out in finding where to put the 15mm open end wrench.

The black line would be the pry-bar (crow-bar, etc). It puts pressure on the pulley and wont let it spin.

Also, the pulley boys tension tool is amazing! I can change my pulley in -15 mins. by myself.

Again, good luck!
