Help!!! Fast!!!

okay, so i just installed my ZZP Stage 3 setup and to all of my knowledge i didn't miss a thing, i did everything right or so i thought... when the car started it started stumbling really hard and i thought maybe it was the fuel lines working their way through, but then i got an engine power reduced thing on my dash and a cel and it wouldn't let me operate the gas pedal.

i've started it 3 times and it's the same thing so i checked the connection to the pcm and now it only tries to start, but doesn't.

please someone tell me what is wrong?!

bump guys! seriously!

My friends 2.2 does that but he just re-sets his tune and then puts back the tune he had it tuned for and it goes back to normal... so idk.

no. they were fine before the build. i noticed the injector port that's nearest to the coolant temp sensor had gotten the towel that i had plugged in it wet. you don't think that has something to do with it do you?

Case Learn... im guessing this is your issue. i have the same kit on my car and you will need to either have a dealer or someone with HP tuners do it for you.

Mine started and ran fine when I swapped pcms. And so did my buddy with the gm stage 3. It SHOULD run at least.

yea but every car is different. i didn't need a case learn and mine runs fine but I have heard of others who threw cel's and fell on there face like this.

Sorry to thread jack but ecotecon18s do you tune. I think that I remember seeing something about you being a tuner. I am installing a header and meth in the next month and will be looking for a tune. You live very close to my parents house which is in valrico.

Your car has to be calibrated to run with the new specifics of the tune. The dealership will hook your car up to a Tech 2 and it will calibrate everything. Should only take a few minutes. Hope everything works out

Yes they will. If you are not under warranty and are willing to pay they will do anything you want.

If you are trying to keep your warranty then I would suggest finding someone who has HP tuners to do it.

I think the car is refusing to start because of me messing with the PCM and forgetting to disconnect the battery, but that doesn't explain the limp mode and stumbling. I mean, I've never seen it stumble so hard. The motor was jarring.

if you were to disconnect battery for a few minutes, think anything would happen when you reconnect? try unplugging the batt for 5 or ten min...

When my throttle body connector plug was loose, the exact symptoms you described happened to my chevrolet cobalt ss supercharged economy car.
