i just got my heat exchanger s3 from zzp. i was looking at there plumbing diagram and really doesnt make sense to me. on the picture it shows two spots coolant goes in and out. my problem is, wich one goes out and witch ones goes in? there not side by side like the picture shows. there vertical. and to bolt this on the crash bar, do i bend the tabs so there vertical? right now there faced straight, no 90 in them

 

I don't have the S3 but I cut my tabs out completely and smoothed them with a dremmel. As far as the inlet/outlet, I used the upper fitting as the inlet and the lower as the outlet. In a conventional cooling core the hot fluid is usually introduced at the top of the core and is cooled as it flows downward (hot rises/cool sinks so to speak). I'm pretty sure the S3 is crossflow but this would still be the best way to hook up the hoses.
