Check crate engine depot to order a belt.

No, you can't just walk into a dealership and ask for a stage 2 flash. You either have to buy stage 2 at this point (pointless) or go get it customed tuned somewhere in your area.

Actually, I called my chevy dealer awhile back and told him I had a pulley and injectors already and just needed the ECU reflash. He said it costs $84 and takes about an hour. Its just not covered under any kind of warranty like if you bought a whole stage 2 from chevy. Some dealers may be different, but if you call around, it shouldn't be a problem. I decided to wait because its $84 for the stage 2 reflash, or $124(+core charge) for a whole new ECU from ZZPerformance.com that will yield more power and give you more options that you can't get with the stage 2. Its only $40 more, which I think is worth it.

As far as the belt, I bought mine from www.cobalt-addiction.com. It was $49 via paypal shipped, I got it about 3 working days later. A brand new belt. Its kinda nice buying there because you can use paypal, no credit card required.

you can tune your car with HPtuners certainly.

but you said "off to the dealership to flash my ecu"

the only way the dealer can flash you with a stage 2 tune, is if you have the stage 2 tune calibration code that comes with the S2 kit.

When you buy stage 2 you get a code that allows them to download the program to flash onto your car. Once the code is used, it is vin locked to your vehical.

Unless the dealer somehow saved a tune from someone elses flash and are offering it to you, but i don't know if that is possible and if it is, its really shady.

The zzp ecw us almost plug and play. It already comes tuned so you swap out your stock ecw, and then have to take it to a chevy dealership for a case relearn. Don't think that costs anything?

I would still recommend a custom tune with hp tuners in your area, just because:

a) every car is different...supporting mods ect....
b) a bought tuned is frequently done in a different enviroment then what you are in, which my cause some problems with the tune.

ok what smiley turbo is talking about is the reflash that has 7 upgrades for our car it doesnt make it any faster it just makes the car a hell of a lot smoother i got it done about a month ago it cost $125 it will fix the P0171 and will also fix the miss fire code its a really good idea to get it done but it wont make it faster just smoother hope this helps

P.S. smiley turbo its not a stage 2 reflash so dont get ur hopes up go with a tune
