HELP me in CT (ss/sc pulley issues)
One of my blue stg.2 bolt-heads broke off, and the bolt is still in the hub. Now the remaining three are ruining my Nates/Smoothflow 2.75" pulley to the point where the bolt holes are becoming severely elongated and it's making a terrible noise. I'm afraid I can't drive it anymore before it completely wears out and falls off. How this happened I have no idea, it's been perfect since I put the 2.75" on in June.
First, I don't have the stg.2 tool to remove the remaining 3 bolts. If anyone has one near CT that I can borrow that would be great. I tried a few other tools like a torx, large phillips, square bit, but it didnt work. When I was putting the 2.75" on in June with a square bit, the loctite had already been broke so it worked, but then I put more on to seal the deal
Second, I am probably going to have to pull the hub off and drill out the remaining bolt. Smoothflow/Nate sells a "pulley puller"... but how would I get the hub back on?
I really don't want to take it into GM, because that will cost a lot, and who knows if they'll even work on it since it's aftermarket hardware.
If anyone has any help or ideas that would be great. Right now the SS is parked in my driveway
waiting for some love....
(sorry for the long post)
