Help me spend some money
I am getting ready to build my motor up, and i want to know the best stuff to get and where to get it from.
I found these on the ebay, and am wondering if they would be sufficient. I intend on redoing the head with new valves, cams, and the works, but would also like to run lower compression.

I have about 1500 to spend right now, I have the GMPP exhaust, Stage 1, and am ordering a header very soon. I plan on running a cobra heat exchanger with the dual pass from gm, having the blower ported and pollished and machined snout so i can run a 2.5, custom tune with hptuners, fidenza flywheel, driveshaft shop axles, Bwoody traction bars, an upgraded clutch (havent decided which one yet), 50 shot of nitrous, and whatever else i can think of. I am shooting for around 400 hp roughly.
I would like input on good combinations to run.

why are you running lower compression piston's if your not going turbo. Get some 10:1 froged piston's and up the juice to a 75 shot and you might be close to 340 whp becuase i run the setup minus the shot and you won't get 400
well i know but to build the lsj, im actually thinking about a turbo swap, but i still want advice on all the internals.... you have to have some good input, you built your motor

First suggestion is decide on the hp level.
I have gone with a Wiseco piston and they have different ones depending on how much boost you plan on running.
The connecting rods will likely hold all you will do to your engine.
The sleeves also will be fine for power levels that most people will get to.
Remember that to a certain level the transmission will be fine but the Quaife LSD makes it stronger.
I would definitely suggest doing the head and valvetrain as there is power to be made there.
I would go with the turbo swap and drop the SC as it will produce too much heat at higher power levels.
Don't make the mistake I made by not looking at everything that will need to be changed, based on how much HP you are adding.
Halfshafts, clutch and transmission are only good to a certain point.
So again, start off by defining the HP level you want to meet, before trying to put together a parts list.

Driveshaft Shop stage 2 axels (Ultra Rev)
LSD equipped transmission, which will be at it's limit.
Stronger clutch.
Forged pistons.
Race head with cams.
Turbo.
Meth injection.
Cooling mods.
Wideband.
Bad news, that power level doesn't happen cheap.
Why can't you accept that not all of us want to change the car we drive. We have a car and we just want to change it's power level. Some of us actually "like" our cars.

Now as for the LS? had I known at the beginning I would have gome to this extreme, I would have gone V8.
He's radically changing the design of the car.
What you think a T56 is just going to slide right in behind the engine?
He's going to cut and hack that firewall to shred's to a point that it will just be a cobalt shell. Converting a FWD car to RWD is a big step.

If you want 400 whp, its gonna cost A LOT more than $1500. Your lookin at a build like I'm doing, maximum head porting, retarded cams, forged pistons, billet rods, ultra light weight crank (should be 12-15 lbs when done), and many others, and its barley gonna be streetable (1800 rpm idle, 12 mpg ect.). If your lookin for a cheap 400 whp (if it exists) I'd say, new pistons 9:1 comp, GT30ish sized turbo, debadge the supercharged badges (otherwise the car will suddenly explode from trying to reject the gayness of the turbo
), some mild cams, maybe a port job, and you should be there... but you'd have a turbo so it would be a gay 400 whp
