Help with new shifter

I recently bought a ss/sc and the shifter has a lot of play in it. The clutch is strong and none of the gears grind so i am hoping that this fix can either be done by adjusting the linkage cables or replacing the pin that connects the linkage to the tranny. I have uploaded a video of what my issue is on photobucket. Any help is appreciated.

thank you very much for the response...i was wondering if a little play once its in gear is normal for the cobalt but there isnt any play when shifting....
