I have a 06 ss/sc i am running a 2.8 pully on what i believe are the stage 2 injectors. My long term fuel trim is at about 17 and it threw a p0171 long term fuel trim lean. i was wondering what i should do to prevent this from happening more.
Thanks
Thanks
flip the pcm over, it will have a sticker on the back if it is a canned tune, if it has no sticker with a place on it other than the stock sticker then your either on a stage 2 GM tune or a custom tune.
But were really trying to figure out if its a stage 2 or custom.. which without hptuners can be hard to figure out... unless you bring it to the dealer..
well if it is a GM Stage tune then it should have the GM hub and pulley and/or GM injectors which have green tops, if none of that is evident than it could be an aftermarket stage kit which would require the PCM to be sent in and retuned which they would send back and it would have a sticker on the back of the place that retuned it and the vin would be below that as well

does it say anything on the pulley, to get an idea of where the pulley came from?

he's got a point, if your looking for a way to solve the lean issue regardless of what stage you have then going to a bigger pulley will definitely fix the problem, recommend a 2.9 or 3.0

Smoothflow offers GM or 5 bolt hubs / pulleys.
Does the pulley have any bolts on it? If not.. it is the stock pulley.
Have you checked your injectors yet?
yes it has bolts and im boostin 18lbs. i tried to check the injectors but didnt really know what to look for
my boys gm s2 runs a 2.8 pulley and has lean codes for so long... idk im saying its a gm s2. call ur dealer give them ur vin or post ur vin on here and ask for a gm tech or someone who works there check ur vin to see what was done to ur car... i did it...
