It should NOT be near 14 at WOT PERIOD !
That will ruin your engine.
The afr will bounce around while in closed loop, its the oxygen sensor searching for stoich.
Yes sometimes when you release the throttle you might see the --- on the AEM screen.
All sounds normal to me, except the 14 @ WOT, that needs addressed when tuning.

Could it be running that lean because of the aem intake and the car being stock ?? I got they odd lean code when i was tottally stock with just the air box mod. But once i got the GM STG II installed it has never had a lean code in over a year in a half yet again. Just a thought ?

If your running the S2 tune and the mods in your sig, you shouldn't be anywhere near the 14afr at wot. more around 10.1 - 10.3 depending on the weather.
I think that it was said here before, but the gauge will read --- when the reading exceeds the range that it will display. I think the gauge range is 10 - 18 afr. so at WOT if the afr is 9.9, the gauge will read ---.
