Possibly Bad Clutch Or Bad Slave Cylinder ??

So im wondering if anyone can help me out alittle bit with a issue i started having with my clutch and or my slave cylinder about a week ago. It seems that every once in awhile when driving. If i give my car alittle gas in a certain gear, say 3rd 4th or 5th. My clutch starts to slip for a second or two. And the wierdest thing is that i barely give it any gas at all. I would say maybe a quarter throttle or so. And it slips and my rpms jump from say 2500 to 3000 for a split second. But then once it grabs, it won't slip again even if i floor the car in ANY gear. Even shifting between 1st and second the clutch doesn't slip. So im kinda wondering if for some reason my slave cylinder could be bad AGAIN and could be allowing the clutch to back off the flywheel and not pressing hard enough on the clutch causing it to slip ?? Is that possible at all ?? Or is my clutch shot ? I just dont get why it only slips once in a blue moon ? My clutch is a bully dog stage III four puck clutch and it has about 35,000-40,000 miles on it and i did break it in properly. As for my slave cylinder, it was just replaced about this time last year and only has about 20,000 miles on it. Any thoughts ?

Oh yeah, I forgot to mention that for the most part the pedal pretty much feels the same as normal. Maybe just a SLIGHTLY higher realease piont. But not too much higher. And also shifting is for the most part pretty much normal also. Last summer when my slave cylinder was bad and was leaking fluid my pedal would loose all feel and be REALLY sloopy and lose. This time after just looking under the car. I can't seem to see the slave leaking from under the tranny like it did last time.

Thanks !

Bump !! I just finished talking to my father. And he says it sounds like a weak pressure plate ? I was really hoping it would be my slave again. That wouldn't cost as much $$$ !! Anyone have ANY thoughts ?

Anyone ??

Also, it seems to be worse in the mornings when it is tottally cooled off. This morning going to work it was slipping bad just trying to give it a small amount of gas to just get up hills. But, once the car was fully warmed up and i got close to work. About a 20 min drive. It was tottally fine and doesn't slip at all for the rest of the day untill the next morning !! I'm guessing a worn disc or more possible a weak pressure plate??

kinda sounds like mine did (bad plate) you have the Bully Stage 3 clutch tho... mine was stock.... you shouldn't be pushing enough power to kill that or your slipping it too often (not saying you suck at driving just a possibility) Thats what happen to mine due to the previous owner.

Im probably not the best driver in the world. But im 33 and id like to think im not too bad at driving stick sense i have had one sense i was 16. None the less i don't drive my car hard either. I have two kids that are normally in the car with me most of the time. Its just so weird that its a stage III clutch. I broke it in properly. I don't abuse it or my car. And it slips badly in the morning and then seems to be totally fine after the car has some heat to it to warm up the tranny and clutch system. And i checked my master fluid level. It is tottally full. I just don't get it.

Your slave probably damaged the clutch.

Typically when the slaves start to give out you will feel the clutch starting to engage even while you have your foot on the floor. This can cause hot spots and damage your clutch. If its slipping when you give it throttle its going to be the clutch.

Would that cause it to slip only in the mornings when its tottally cooled off ? Cause again today it was really really bad and slipped everytime i gave it any gas at all. But once i got about half way to work and the car was warmed up it didn't slip at all. Not even alittle bit ! Its weird !!

Does the engagement point stay the same on it? or does it engage high then low, and change all the time?

Once it begins to slip it will continue to get worse, regardless if the master or slave caused the issue or it was just the clutch slipping due to wear it will not get better from this point on. Put it in 4th mash the throttle and i bet you watch the tach shoot up then fall back down no matter the time of day.

Well, you were right. When i hit the gas to the floor in 3rd or 4th. It just revs out and i start loosing speed. No matter the cause. I guess im in need of a whole new clutch and flywheel as well as a new slave. Im thinking of one of the center forces off of createnginedepoit.com , either the df or the dfx they are rated at 350hp(df) and 450hp(dfx). Has anyone heard anything about either of them ?
