Help! Taking off S/C...

Okay... so i need help taking my S/C off. I can't get that ONE bolt that is on the left hand side, right under the fuel rail. My Allen head socket doesn't reach far enough... and my Allen Wrench is being a bitch... and the head is twisting.

Can I pop off the fuel rail and injectors real quick to get it out? What are my options here?

That one bolt is the only thing holding me back right now... and I don't seem to have anything with good torquing ability that'll reach that far, that narrowly.

It's being a real bitch. Didn't there used to be a How-To on taking the S/C off? Damn it all to hell.

The best thing would be a longer extension. What are you taking it off for?

Damn, I'll see if I can find a longer extention. Doubt I will find one though.

I'm closing the Silencer holes with QuickSteel and I am taking a Dremel to the Intake side to smooth it out.

90 degree swivel, extension, and torx sockets are your friend.

Torx socket? Hell, I think the biggest Torx size I have is 30... and there is no way that will fit in the 6mm Allen head.

SO that is a no go.

I know 15 Grand Prix guys that have used Quicksteel on theirs and have had no problems.

They ALL run 2.55" pulleys. One just took his off the other day. After 50,000 miles; he says that is looks like he just did it. Nothing missing, etc, etc, etc.

Quicksteel claims to be able to plug holes in an engine block and is rated to 500* F. So I'm gonna trust them on this one.

USMC, one thing I must tell you when doing the silencer holes as I did, please be sure the area is clean, and MAKE sure you use tape on the inside of the housing so the quicksteel does not leak into the area.

Other than that, it is straight forward.

And yes, you can just pop it off to remove the supercharger. I didn't because I had an allen key that worked.

On the Stage 2 kit installation guide they instruct us to remove the rail.

as far as HP or response, there is no diff at all....its all about making the S/C louder, those holes are for noise emissions standards...some of us like our cars to scream like banshees!
