i voted hi flow. just my opinion, but i don't think the crappy sound is worth the minimal hp gain.

Seeing how a hi flow cat flows in excess of 99% of straight pipe there is no reason to not run one. Cats these dayse are nothing like the olds that were out in the 70'ss and 80's. Besides you may need it for emmissions.

Nope there is no reason to not run a cat anymore, well unless you can't aford it and then maybe you shouldn't be modding cars if you can't aford to do it proplerly.

Spun hi-flow
The spun version not only looks better, but has a nicer, more smooth transition in and out of the core.

I absolutely agree. If you're having the DP made, look into Random tech. Best cats on the market by far...

Looks like CED offers a 2.75" DP w/ a Random Tech cat already.

Oh.. I forgot to mention... steel core... you'll have less clogging problems in the future.

Go with a high flow cat. Going catless will get you maybe 1-2whp. Not worth the emissions issues down the road imo.

yup agreeing with everyone so far, catless imo is pointless unless you are gonna super hardcore mod your car and even then it sounds ridiculous on a cobalt.
if your really all that into the racing scene maybe a cutout specifically for the track would be good for you rather than the constant annoyance of a catless dp

Steel core is OEM

You want a ceramic core if you are F/I

Go catless, but add another resonator. It acts as a cat (sound wise at least). Listen to my exhaust clip, I have a big muffler and TWO resonators with no cat.
