do you plan on making the collector out of machined aluminum and .125" sheet metal and have the rest be all tubular with a direct port water/meth setup???? oh wait, nvm thats me...

It has not been made yet. There is no way to know for sure.

Have someone sending a manifold, should take 1-2 weeks to whip up a prototype...this is not a FS thread it's just a info thread so I won't be posting prices it anything like that...I'll keep thud thread updated on progress

lol sorta, aluminum, tubular, with the option to have a post intercooler meth tap and/or nitrous tap, and the tap can be whenever they want, pre intercooler, post intercooler, in the collector, in each runner

until one is made and tested we wont know, the main purpose of this is to make a manifold w/better cooling than stock while maintain good air flow characteristics....

yeah once we have a prototyped worked up, i have talked to them about it, if there is room to fit another cooler in there, there will be a option for it, right now what im thinking is a cooler in the inlet of the manifold, right below the m62 flange, and another one right before the collector, each one running standalone from each other, basically "Y" off the pump outlet, and than "Y" them together after thay pass though

JN2 just aquestion? do you work or know the owners of vulcan turbo.. just curious. so once you get a manifold.... what are we looking for on a time frame for a prototype.... if this actually happens your going to be the first to make one and your most likely going to bank the money in. i can see alot of people wanting this if the gains are good? im excited to see the end part.

interested to see the gains from this, although I doubt I could afford it since their turbo manifolds are near 600.

the intake manifold for turbo applications is 590, the cheapest aftermarket one available, the other is hahn, which is close to 900...

prices have not yet been discussed, need to get one made to see how many man hrs go into making this thing, than factor in cost of materials and labor, once thats done, we'll look at how many people will be interested in it, the more that commit to a buy the cheaper the cost will be once released...just to show you guys the quality of the manifold will look like, here's a few pics of the production process for the bimmer i-6 intake manifold...all hand welded, built to order

tester will be heavily modded...going to need a m62 and a TVS tester, but that wont be discussed ti'll later on, ill probably test the 2.2/2.4 version of it

I see that you already have a manifold, but if that falls through, I can send mine in. Mine is also a single pass manifold.

I'd also like to be a tester when this is all said and done. I doubt anyone has modified their m62 cobalt as far as I have.

thats fine, u can be the modified m62 tester, although i should say, the tester will not be getting a free manifold, just a discounted one, bc all expensives come out of pocket for materials and flanges up front, giving away so many at once would kill this project, so far this project is costing in the area of 2k to get started, thats to have the LSJ flanges made up, bc so far vulcan only has 2.2/2.4 flanges cut, so gunna order about 10-12 flanges, than having to get just as many m62 flanges, looking a 2k in just flanges, than need to get tubing for the runners, the intercoolers, very expensive project to start, than the man hours that go into design, after its all said and done, i dont know what the retail cost will be...it all depends on how many people buy when t first comes out, if its a decent amount, the cost will start of as low as possible, if only a few, sorry to say, but it will be higher, as more sell, the price will drop...

that's fine, I know what a manifold should cost, as long as the price isn't rediculous, and they are willing to buy the manifold back if I'm not satisfied with the outcome, then I'll test it.

You can tell them my mods if you like, ported head, ported blower, ls4 throttle body, 3" intake, pacesetter header, custom downpipe and exhaust, upgraded valve springs, custom grind cams, darton sleeves, wiseco pistons and I can do testing with a 2.5 pulley and a 2.9 pulley.

nice a ported head, that a plus there, 2.5 will create massive heat, would require you to log the 2.5 and the 2.9 on the stock manifold, 3 logs per pulley, than do the same again with the new manifold, 3 pulls, let it heat soak, wanna see the diffrence between the 2, which one soaks more, which one took longer, which one gave better gains etc, only 1 manifold will be made to start with...once testing is done we'll go from there, like i said we will try use 1 cooler, 2 coolers, and if we can see room 3 of them, wont know yet, right now i want to run 1 at the m62 flange, like the m90 one for the GTP, and another right before the collector
