High IAT2s, need help
High IAT2s, need help
did a couple pull tonight after working on the air to fuel. doing some data logs and everything was going fine and all of a sudden i hit 6 degrees of knock. the a/f was fine but then we saw the IAT2s were over 200. i recently installed dual pass and option b. i dont know if my pump is bad or if i hooked up the dual pass wrong. can someone give me specifics on how it should be. yes i have searched but im just making sure that its not my own stupid error.
ok i'll check. its always something with this damn thing. lol. question: if the key is turned on should the pump turn on or only when its running? if i have my buddy at a shop use the gm tool to start the pump and it starts pumping could i assume its fine? thanks for the help so far guys
Damn. My IAT2's were never over 155* when I had a bad I/C pump. If you bang on both ends of the I/C pump with a hammer, like stated before, it will work for a while longer, but you should look into getting it replaced. I would also retrace your steps with the dual pass and opt.b... that's way too high...
i think i saw it but we just changed it from wait 10 seconds to turn on to 1 second. started it up still morning and the option b reservoir was bubbling so i would assume its pumping. i opened the stock filler neck and it started to fill up. does that sound like the pump is ok? i also checked for kinks and my routing. i connected the top and bottom nipples on the dual pass with the top one going to the option b tank and the bottom end going to the pump. them the middle section to the stock H/E. does that sound correct. i also have the bleeder line from the tank to the h/e too.
does anybody bypass the stock filler neck and put a straight hose from the h/e to the middle of the dual pass or should we keep it?

i did it about two to three weeks ago so i would assume the air would be out. but it did bubble quit a bit so maybe some got in there. who knows. does my routing sound correct though? what about the filler neck?
well looks like its the pump. it was working right away this morning but when i checked again later today the reservoir was doing nothing and there was nothing in the filler neck like there usually is. i tried hitting it but couldnt get the best angle but still nothing. this ******* blows

Yep the third one. If you have opt b you Can get rid of the stock filler neck and run that section to the opt b. then use opt b to fill it up. Maybe you had an air bubble stuck in there and it got really hot.
ok will i get like 2 and then every now and then it jumps to 6 or 8 i have even seen 12 but seems like it does it when i push the clutch in and am rooling to a stop like parking or something like that ??? and thing i shoud be worried about ??
I wouldn't worry about it. My LSJ used to get random misfires and knock when I used to clutch or at idle, that is until I tuned it. Once tuned I hardly ever saw any misfires or knock at clutch presses or idle.

do u need hptuners to log ur iat2 temps ? or is there another way to do it ?
