High Mileage

Im sure this thread has been brought up but didnt find anything and wouldnt hurt to have a new one. Whats the SS/SC mileage looking like for you guys and how reliable is it? Mines got 119k and not sure if I should keep putting money into it or sell it and find another balt with less miles.

165k miles and very reliable. You still got lots of room to put money into it.

any vehicle will last as long as you maintain it. My uncle still has a ford escort and it has over 300k on there. And anyone who knows Ford knows that the only other piece of **** next to that car is the pinto....

Replaced my stock clutch at 19,000 miles and blew my first engine at 21,000 miles
I bought the car with 18,000 miles on it.

Still rolling strong with 83K, been out of the country for 7 months and at least 5 more so she is getting a rest. As far as I know it is all original except tires and of course the mods.

I would not sell to get lower miles, if I was that worried I would just rebuild the motor. Cheaper in my book plus you keep your car.

Lmao! First car owner or something? Any car will do at least 120k with very minimal maintenance, pretty much.

But the LSJ is a hell of a engine. Very strong.

Right? It's never the actual engine. Sensors and other **** go that make you unable to drive your car.

sensors and seals and **** lol. But i daily drive it and although its only intake exhaust car it sees full boost every day and often but thankfully the motor is still good. When i asked about a compression test at my local mechanic just to see if it was still as good as i thought he laughed and said it ran better then newer vehicles hes seen and couldnt believe how few issues the car has had

I've got 104k and 98k on the clutch. Nothing major that I couldn't plus oil changes, changeable clutch and brakes, fuel filter etc. Just did timing chain tensioner and sc compiler over the winterwinter.

These Ecotec motors by and large are very reliable if properly maintained.
