you sure its the timing chain tensioner because i would think that would be more of a slappy noise not a high pitch squeak i did my oil change a month back or so and it quieted down a little bit but like halfway through the oil change it goes back to normal sound again idk if its a sticky valve or what

Try tightening down the header bolts. Some people have had a problem with one or two bolts being loose. If not that then I'd go with the tensioner. Try to get a video of the sound for us. Also could be a pinhole leak in the downpipe by the flex section.

Okay I'll go get a video but if it was a hole in the header or dp it wouldn't go away when its warmed up would it?

the initial sounds sounds like a gasket leak or more of a flex pipe leak beginning specialy when you threw the cam right in there, but then you said it goes away. i have a similar sound at the moment and i havent had time to track it down. i'll probably look at it tonight and get back to ya unless anyone else has a say.

You think its the timing chain tensioner? I'll look more into it but if you figure out what it is tonight let me know. The only reason I didn't think it was the tentioner because like I said when I do my oil changes it quieted down for a little bit then it comes back again

def something in the block sounds like valvetrain slapping but timing chain tensioner is an easy cheap first step

Yeah I thought it might be a sticky valve or something but would it just go away like that for a little while after changing the oil if it was the timing chain tentionor?

couldn't tell ya i never had the timing chain problem going away after changing oil kinda sounds like it would be valvetrain related, i'd take the vc off and see if anything is out of the ordinary.
