hood fire tarp question

hood fire tarp question

hey ive done it on other cars but sometimes removeing the firetarp under the hood above the engine help heat escape and thus cooling the engine a bit better. has anyone done this and other then if my engine catchs on fire is the only way i could see i would need this but i got fire extinguisher

so answers?

its also their to insulate the hood itself from the heat of the engine bay. over time the heat will cause the paint to fade and possibly even blister

who knows, I took mine off because I can ....chances of fire are slim but always nice to have it.

does it help with cooling tho? yellow? did it help heat escape faster or see and good or bad things come from it

it helps with cooling yes, however like someone said it might make your paint fade. Its also used to keep the sound insulated

I could not give you an honest yes or no. Outside temps are going down now and my Aeroforce reads about the same during daily driving. If anything I would say it helps (very little) but it might add sound which is always nice.

i think

i think ill prolly take it off but i find it funny that people try to make 4cycs to be super loud and all others like v6 and v8s dont want to be too loud i just think its kinda funny anywho so those who have removed it have you guys seen your paint fade
