Jesus you need to settle. The OP got his answer and all of the rest were amused with the question.. Seems like he didnt care about us finding it humorous, why do you?

so the short block is only the shaft, and the long block is the shaft and the head right?

Just curious...

Stop complaining.
bingo, I don't see how you can be offended by what I post. Is it wrong that I got a laugh out of this thread? Of course not. I gave you the point blank answer.

I laugh at all kinds of things, like drew's thread about brake pads and brake lines and a wideband gauge in a hidden compartment. That's a funny thread too.

I dodnlt read through the whole thread because this is a perfect example why ppl on this forum get bad names. Kid asked a simple question ppl answer like dick heads. I don't wanna see people asking why otherr car owners are dicks to you guys now. How about answering the kid without making him feel dumb. Everyone starts off knowing something he's trying to learn.

Short block = the block, pistons, and crank

Long block - the block, pistons, crank, cam(s), head(s), lifters, and push rods (if applicable). You would still need your intake, carb or fuel injection setup, all your accesseries and sensors, oil pan, and valve covers.

You must not have read the responses to the op then...

Considering the second post is the answer to the question, with no direct insult... I dont even know.. yet again... what to say.

I know the difference. What do you have that has a shaft and a head. You completely missed it...
