How do you know?
Hey guys,
just bought a supercharged cobalt ss. Im very impressed of how fast this thing is. It's just amazing. Any how,is there a way to know whether the engine is stock or has a stage 1 or 2 engine upgrades? I asked the dealer I bought the car from but he had no idea.
Thanks

A stock pulley is pressed on, meaning there are no visible bolts, but just a black cap in the center... (pic below)

Whereas, an aftermarket pulley (which would be present if the car was staged) has several bolts visible, rather than just the single center piece...

Also, make sure your boost is peaking at 12.5psi (any more than that, and it's tuned) and make sure your RPMs bounce at around 6300 (give or take a few, it's been a while since I tached out there
)
And as previous poster mentioned, check injectors as well. Hope this helps.
