Yea called do it your self. Get some black spray paint and do them yourself or take them to a place and have them powdercoat them.

Yeah, I have to say, I'd like to paint mine like that. I love the black spokes with the black car. So would you need to paint them, and then get them powercoated as well? pardon my dumb ass-ness, but I dont know a whole lot about painting. The only thing that I would worry about is the paint chipping off or something like that....

powedercoating would be better and no you don't have to paint them.

Powdercoating 101

agreed powdercoating is a better quality finish, and hardier....

but powdercoating is basically going to get you a solid black wheel.

you wont get the 2 tone effect.

Is powder coating glossy??? Or is it more of a semi gloss??? Or even gloss at all??? (when I trade up I'm considering this).

There's a few kinds of textures you can get. http://www.custompowdercoating.com/i...ial_finish.jpg

yeah powerder coating is harder for sure, but its a totally different process. I thought you couldnt get two tones witht he powder coating? But hey i might be wrong!! I just got them painted and put 4 coats of clear to get it as hard as i can to minimize rock chips. But no matter, you will get them, jsut try to minimize it

As far as im aware i havent seen anyone able to powdercoat with the same 2 tone result on my wheels, im sure its likely possible....but i bet the cost will be extreme....

Im not sure what to do with my rims. I have a victory red ss/sc with the painted wheels, but the paint on them is so damn cheap, it is chipping everywhere. So im looking to get them powder coated but i cant decide what color. I want either Black, gunmetal like them are now, or a gold/bronze like the wrx's rims. I really like the gold/bronze color idea, what do you guys think?

Gold?? never seen it on a cobalt before, could be nice?? I thinik gunmetal would be the nicest if you go powdercoat though

Those both look pretty good. But for some reason I think the flat black looks the best.
