how safe is a 2.85 pulley
how safe is a 2.85 pulley
how safe is the 2.85 press on pulley from zzp with gm stage one injectors and tune? also does anybody know what gm sets the a/f at with that tune?
Stage 1 and 2 tune are the same.... as long as you get the stage 2 belt you will be fine.
Some will argue that it is safer to go 2.9 with that setup but I personally think 2.85 is alright as long as you aren't going WOT everytime you drive the car.

how much safer is the 2.9 compared to the 2.85, i mean we are talkin about .05 inches. thats not much of a difference. and i still need to know what air to fuel ratio for the stage 1/2 tune is, hopefully someone has this info, thanks
It all depends on your tuning. A 2.85 shouldn't overspin your blower, so you are fine there. But if your tune is poor, something will blow up even if you have the stock pulley on.
i was just bustin your ****, the stage 1 and 2 tune are the same, best bet would be nothing smaller than a 2.85
this man speaks the truth

well its down to stage 1 from gm and a modualar setup with a 2.9 or stage 1 from gm and a press on pulley 2.85 from zzp. both will be on gm's tune since i dont have hptuners
go with the 2.9 but remember that you will no longer have a warranty if you walk into the dealer with a 2.9 on there! Also think about some cooling mods, like another HE.
I would also want some monitoring equipment on there to watch what the engine is doing... Wideband and Interceptor gauge. These might be the most important things so that you actually know what your engine is doing when you are outside of the garage. You gotta watch your IAT's knock and afr...
