So mine died. Ordered a Cobra/Lightning pump and figure while I am down there I will see if its wired right. I searched but only saw this mentioned in passing like everyone knows. I dont. How do you tell? Pics? Anything?

The only thing i could think of is matching the + and - on the pump. disconnecting the connector, starting the car and measuring each pin of the connector with a volt meter.

 

test the pigtail to see for sure which wire is positive and which is negative and the pump is marked with the positive and negative.

 

Its a plug... it only plugs in one way....

 

cobalts are all wired correctly only 2004 redlines were wrong....its corrected.
