Interceptor Gauge... MUST?

Everyone talks about how much they love their interceptors.. recommend one for tuning.. blah blah blah...

& I will be getting tuned soon (withing a week) if this helps answer my question..

Do I NEED an interceptor gauge? Or will I be able to hold it off for a little?

Even if I'm not doing the tuning? I think it would mostly just be to monitor everything.(from little I know)

interceptors are nice because they like display everything at the click of a button. When tuning I think that AFR real important. You can hold off on an interceptor for now...
