I've heard bad things about them from other members on this site. I wouldn't even bother.

i believe that the bad things you hear... ya know, the motors blowing, is operator/owner error. and i'm one of them. i was stupid when i first modded my car, went from stock, to cai, full exhaust, 2.6 & 60s with a "blind" tune from some guy (won't mention his name). i had no cooling mods, i was stupid. then i finally added a cobra h/e w/ option b & meth, decided to get an upgraded tune so i went to TTP. my motor was already going and the upgraded tune just pushed it over the cliff it was already hanging off of. my meth wasn't even connected right, this was my fault. i do not blame TTP for anything, i actually blame myself for modding stupidly.

so what i'm saying is this.... TTP is absolutely fine for tuning our cars, just make sure you mod it correctly. dont make the same mistake i did.

The 450whp balt had a turbo conersion. The tuner matt who did mine went over everything with me. Double checked all my mods (I installed them) and found a prob with my meth setup I had the wrong nozzle. He fixed it 4 me (free) and tuned everything the correct way. He even changed a few things at my request. And once your tuned with them ur tuned 4 life. If u change anything jus bring it back for a re tune. There great.

Lol, no they are not fine at tuning these cars.

Who do you know takes 3 dyno pulls, 15 minutes max and says the car is tuned? Matt adjusts 1 thing, PE. He doesn't adjust **** for anything else. Maybe a little timing here, a little timing there, pull some fuel over here and boom he's done. He doesn't even take the car for a test drive to see how it reacts on the street. Not to mention, he takes his wideband readings at the tailpipe, AFTER the cat. This right here alone will skew the a/f up to .5.

If you guys could only see the **** around locally, you'd understand what i'm saying.

what shop do you know of that doesn't read the afr at that tailpipe?

i'm not defending Matt here, i'm just saying he is fine for a tune. he has tons of tunes on his computer, you come in there with the same tunes as others, you'll end up getting the same tune as those people. unfortunately there really isn't alot of shops to go to for custom tunes (in our area, PA, DE, MD & NJ).

where would you recommend him to go?

crazywhiteboy.... what exactly do you have done to your car and what exactly do you plan to get done?

I know someone with a SS/TC that was tuned there and their tune came out like ****. I'm not even going to take the chance of going there.

I rode in that car, wasn't very impressed at all. There is a local TC around me, was the first LNF tune by Matt. Car makes 330whpish, is quick but I can't say how it drives. One thing I do know, with that much power it should roast 2nd gear from a 40. It doesn't.

I know of plenty OTHER shops that will pull a 02 and stick the wideband in there.

FYI, I run a TTP tune on my car for nearly a year now. Motor was brand new(500 miles). Initially, the tune was *ok*, although I ended up recording absolute **** for gas mileage(200 miles/tank city ZERO boost). 3000 miles later, boom. Could have been his fault, could have been mine. I went back after I rebuilt and had him remove nearly all timing. I've seen my exact tune in HPT on a different car, yea. Glad I had him drop almost all timing.

You guys can do as you wish with your car and who tunes it. But by all means if anyone has common sense they can realize if it takes 15 minutes max to tune a car then something isn't right.

damien.... i'm not arguing with you on this. just so you know. haha.

if it's a basic setup, TTP will be fine. we need more info on this guy's car, like what exactly will he have done to it.

i know of 3 guys with ss/tc's where there car turned out like **** and 1 of them who went back to the dealership to get there stock tune back on the car. also, other guys who blew up with ss/sc's. however it could of been the owners fault also.

All in all if you hear great things about a person or place then go there but when you hear a bunch of negative things about a certain someone or place i think it would be in ur best interest to stay away.

all i can say is the people who went the day i got tuned by tune time performance were not very happy.

here are just some names of people i personally know and talk on the phone with who were not happy with tune time performance & or there tune.

rob
max
dan
paul
frank
jon
justin
ed

there are other stories i have heard but those are just people i talk to on the phone who have told me about there own personal experience and how they were not happy.

from my own experience: tune time performance i believe knows what there doing and does know how to tune cars. i've heard greats things about v8 cars who go there. I know at one point they probably did fully tune cobalts. however, the day i was there all he was doing was finding a car he had tuned in the past and put that tune on the car and changed the PE tables. He did not fully tune any car and or re-tune there maf.

If you want big power, good numbers, and a safe car your going to have to re-tune the whole car. putting on someone elses tune off there car just by guessing ohh you have 2.80 pulley + 60's so i can just put this tune on IS NOT OK. it's called sloppy and not taking your time and or caring. If i owned a shop and saw 800whp cars and then saw cobalts come in looking to get 250-300whp i would laugh and say it's a joke and not care or take the time to tune each car fully. You can't blame the guy for not caring about our cars. He is there to make money and from each person he got an easy $300 bucks and put them on the dyno and gave us all dyno sheets. Was he wrong for what he did? I don't know?

These are my feelings about tune time performance.

i assume you think i am joking? do you want me to ask them if it's ok if i list there phone numbers? if you want look at my last post on the bottom of page 1. I listed my reasons. I do not hate tune time performance i just think they could of taken more time with each car and properly tuned them. At the end of the day life goes on and tune time performance will continue to stay there and make money and ether satisfy some and also leave some un-happy. it's just the way of life.

i can tell you that my car runs 10x better now that i have re-tuned the maf and started from scratch. however i have spent hours on tuning the car not just 10minutes. when i was on tune time performances tune i never changed any of my mod's i kept them the same and the car was always running messed up. i had to go back 3 times and i kept thinking it was my fault or my wideband wasn't reading right or i hooked up something wrong. i even told matt that it was my fault. once i got hp tuners i realized that he never disable cot and certain things so when i was doing a WOT pull the car was getting low 10's afr. if not sometimes it would be 10.0 flat the wideband was reading. this was because the car was trying to give extra fuel so the cat wouldn't get overheat. this was just one thing that made me realize he didn't turn off anything and all he was doing was touching the PE table.

All in all matt is a nice guy i don't hate matt one bit. I was just not satisfied with my tune. I wanted more and realized i had to get hp tuners and tune myself to become complete satisfied.

I was thinking about going to BYT*SS*TURBO to get tuned. I've heard plenty of good things.
