If I were to put stage 4 with a 2.5 pulley on. I already have corsa sport exhaust and K&N CAI. If I were to buy an intercooler what would I gain with the intercooler? More HP anymore tq. Better gas milage? Thanks

 

These cars come with an intercooler from the factory dude. It's not like a turbo IC, it's right beneath the blower. You should look into one of the numerous heat exchanger threads and figure out what to do from there.

i've got an intercooler laying out in the garage and i was trying to take the bumper off a little while ago to get it mounted but i got sidetrcked and started riding my motorcycle for about 5 hours


anyways, it won't make much of a difference by itself, but it will help out dramatically with c02

i need to finish putting the heat wrap on the piping and then i'll figure out how to mount it. who knows though the weather is great so i might just go riding again

 

Is that gonna be a front mount IC? If so, do you have a throttle body to route the air to or are you just sending it back through the blower? Who made the plate to route air from the blower through the piping? How much did this cost? I've got questions, you've got answers, Cobalt Shack.

You have one already, and if you upgrade the HE then it will do wonderful things for your car. Decreased KR, lower temps, better gas mileage, more HP, just read the thread.

 

it runs from the maf in the ic out the ic and into the tb. but as i just found out this new fmic didn't fit very well in there so i'm going to be looking for a third one that's shorter and deeper. i might just call it quits on this fmic cause it's beginning to be a pita, but i also really want to know how much it helps with c02
